MCA Receives City of Shawnee Good Business Award

Maranatha Christian Academy is thrilled to announce that our school was recently honored by the City of Shawnee Chamber of Commerce with a Good Business Award! Our leadership team enjoyed the Chamber's wonderful luncheon and awards ceremony.

According to the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce, "Businesses were nominated and selected by the Shawnee EDC (Economic Development Council) team and its advisory committee. Awards were given to businesses that underwent significant expansions, hiring, or opened in Shawnee in the previous year."

It's Not About You by MCA Alumni, Addi Pelham

Written by: Addi Pelham (MCA Alumni)

When Klotzy reached out to me to write a story, I knew exactly what I needed to write about, but every part of me cringed at the thought of writing it. Writing this story would require me to be vulnerable and share what I had been learning this past year, and I honestly still don't feel wise enough to even speak on this topic. I am constantly humbled at how immature I am in my faith but as I felt this way, I was reminded that while I am not a perfect example of the Gospel, Jesus is. And you should never use me or other sinful humans as your baseline for Christianity but rather, I encourage you to read the Bible for yourself and figure out what you believe because it could determine your eternity.
