Current Family Re-Enrollment

We are very excited about the upcoming year and want to encourage you to re-enroll your student(s) before February 28th, 2023 at noon when Priority Re-enrollment concludes. Open Enrollment will begin March 1, 2023. Please see the entire enrollment timeline below which includes several important dates to remember.
 
Priority Re-enrollment is for current families only. During this time there is a reduced enrollment fee ($350 per student) for our families as a way of showing our appreciation for your continued partnership with Maranatha Christian Academy for the education of your child(ren). Secondary families, please note that re-enrolled students also receive priority scheduling! 

If you are a current family but want to apply for enrollment for an additional non-MCA child, please contact the MCA Admissions office at 913-631-0637 or email admissions@ma-kc.org. The 2023-2024 application link will be emailed to you as it is not yet open to the general public. Additional students must complete the entire new student admissions process prior to enrolling by February 28th at NOON to receive the discounted re-enrollment rate. Please do not delay in beginning the admissions process for additional students. We look forward to meeting them!

Online re-enrollment for the upcoming school year is now available!

How do I get started?
Visit Student and Parent Sign In (powerschool.com) from a desktop computer and click on the PowerSchool Parent Portal icon. From the Parent Portal:

  1. Select the student you wish to register along the top
  2. Select Re-Enrollment 23-24 from the menu on the lefthand side
  3. Click Begin Forms

Do I have to answer all the questions?
Required questions are marked as "Required". Please have your insurance card and any updated immunization records ready. 

Will I pay enrollment fees now?
Yes, please follow the prompts on the "Pay Enrollment Fees" tab to pay your student(s) enrollment fee(s) now. Their seats are NOT saved unless this step is completed. The annual family Blackbaud Tuition Managment fee of $50 will also be paid at this time.
*Credit card processing fee applies. There is no fee for using a checking account. 

What if I make a mistake?
If you would like to make a change, click on the underlined field or click “Previous” to return to a previous page.

I’ve completed the form, now what?
When you have finished entering your information, click “Submit.” This will send all of the information you’ve entered to the school. If you cannot click on this button, you will need to make sure that you have answered all required questions.

What if I have more than one student at Maranatha Christian Academy?
Do I need to do this for each child? Yes, because you’ll need to provide information that is specific for each child. We recommend that you submit one re-enrollment form and then start another – this will allow you to “snap over” shared family information, which will save you time. 
*If re-enrolling multiple students and all students re-enrollment fees were paid when completing the first re-enrollment form, please skip the "Pay Enrollment Fees" tab on additional children as those students enrollment fees have already been paid. 

I don’t know what a question is asking.

For technical support — not including issues with passwords or usernames — visit our PowerSchool Community help center or click “Help” or “Contact Us” from any form page.

I can’t remember my login for the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
If you aren’t able to retrieve your login credentials using the “Having trouble signing in?” link on the Sign In page, please contact your school directly for assistance logging in to the Parent Portal.

Enrollment Timeline

There are 3 Enrollment Rounds in which families can enroll. 

  • Round 1:  Priority Re-enrollment (Current Families only)
    • Now – February 28th at NOON
    • Current families may apply for financial aid through Blackbaud Financial Aid Management during this time and be considered in the first round of awards. Award announcements are expected to be made in late March, but this is not guaranteed.  Blackbaud Financial Aid Management is the gateway for applying for MCA Financial Aid, Michael’s Project, and ACE scholarships.  Additional applications are also required for Michael’s Project and ACE scholarships, but the Blackbaud financial aid application is the first step. Please see the link to apply below. 
       
  • Round 2:  Open Enrollment – Scheduling Advantage
    • March 1 – March 31st, 2022.
    • For incoming secondary students (6th – 12th grade):
      • Course requests will be accepted for the 2023-2024 school in April.  In order to be eligible to participate in the first round of course selections, you must be enrolled for next school year by March 31st.
      • Students applying for Student Council or class officer positions, must be enrolled for the 2023-2024 school year by March 31st.
      • Students applying for Specialty classes and leadership positions such as Yearbook or Chapel Leadership must be enrolled for the 2023-2034 school year by March 31st.

  • Round 3:  Open Enrollment 
    • May 1st - July 15th
    • MCA accepts applications for enrollment as long as spots are open for the entirety of the school year. The 3rd enrollment window is specific to financial aid only.

Financial Aid Qualification Process

Maranatha Christian Academy comes alongside families who want to educate their children with a Biblical worldview from a variety backgrounds. To assist the families that need help financially, MCA has a generous tuition assistance program that is made possible in large part by our Friends of Maranatha and our Corporate Sponsors. We are thankful for the grace of those who are investing in the next generation of MCA graduates.

MCA uses a 3rd party service to receive and verify all applications for financial aid to protect families personal and financial information. All questions pertaining to the status of your application for financial aid must be directed to Blackbaud Financial Aid Management. They can be reached via phone at (800) 360-8027. Please review ALL information on this page before submitting the application for financial aid ($30 application fee) via the link at the bottom of this page.

Applications for financial aid must be submitted through Blackbaud Financial Aid Managment, an online submission processor.
