Teaching at Maranatha has been one of the joys of my life! I graduated from Evangel College with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education in 1989 and went right into teaching. After teaching one year as a substitute and two years as a kindergarten teacher, I was given the opportunity to teach first grade at Maranatha Christian Academy.  My journey began the fall of 1992. During the first day of in-service I knew this was a place where the love of Christ was very evident and it still is! Teaching Biblical truths and integrating this throughout our curriculum is such a rewarding way to set a positive foundation for life. Furthermore, I truly enjoy teaching to the different learning styles and bents of my students. It is a joy to see them learning, growing, and becoming all that God wants them to be. I have an eighth grader  who attends as well as two who have graduated from MCA, which has provided a excellent way to experience the benefits of a Christian education within our family. It is clearly seen that our MCA students are grounded in the truth and have the skills necessary to make a positive impact. And this begins with a great foundation in the early years of learning. This is a wonderful place to be!
