The tennis programs at MCA have competed at a very high level for many years.  The boys teams  have been consistent in sending singles and doubles teams to state each year.   The boys were regional champions in four consecutive seasons from 2007-2010 and placed third as a team at state in 2008, 2009 and 2010.  Several players have gone on from the program to continue playing at the college level in tennis.

Coach Kellie Mowrer

My name is Kellie Mowrer, and I graduated from John Brown University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sports Medicine. I am currently a student at Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences to get my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, and I expect to graduate in December of 2017. I am a MCA alumni and attended from kindergarten through senior year of high school. I have been playing tennis since I was about 10 years old. I played on MCA’s varsity girls team throughout high school and also played on the varsity team at JBU. I am beyond thrilled to be back where my roots began. Maranatha is the place where I discovered who I was as a person, especially when it came to my relationship with Christ. MCA shaped who I am today, and I cannot wait to be a part of the lives of the girls on the team. I have a heart to serve others, and I pray that I will be a servant to the girls on the team. I hope to be an inspiration to them as my coaches were to me. It is going to be a great season filled with lots of learning and growing, both in the sport and in their relationships with God.
