Free Application for Federal Student Aid
To apply for federal student aid, you need to complete the FAFSA® form
For the 2018 – 2019 year, you can apply between Oct. 1, 2017, and June 30, 2019. However, there are a few federal student aid programs that have limited funds, so be sure to apply as soon as you can.

The 2017-18 NHS Scholarship program opens October 6.
Eligible members must request application procedures from Mrs. Wilcox, NHS adviser. Student applications and three recommendations (adviser, principal, another faculty member) are due, January 30.
aCT Registration Deadline-
January 12, 2018 is the registration deadline for the February 10 test. Register at act.org. ACT alone is $46; ACT with writing is $62.50. If you check “Yes” to EOS (Educational Opportunity Service) when you register, you will be connected with colleges and scholarship opportunities. You should consider setting up a separate email account just for college communication.
Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers Scholarship
$1,000–to one Kansas and one Missouri high school senior of good character with no criminal background. Essay prompt:
“CITING EVENTS IN CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, BOSTON, MA AND BERKELY, CA TO WHAT EXTENT SHOULD LAW ENFORCEMENT RESPOND TO DEMONSTRATIONS INVOLVING OPPOSING GROUPS?” (Citations must be used to support your hypothesis.) Grammar and spelling will be considered when the essay is scored. Essay and faculty advisors’ recommendations along with the application form should be mailed in time to arrive at the Kansas City Crime Commission’s office no later than Monday, November 27, 2017.
