Word from the Superintendent
God’s Word gives us insight into our responsibilities in educating children as parents, churches and Christian schools. It is my constant prayer that God would use MCA as an effective instrument in partnering with parents and the church to educate children in a manner pleasing to God. As a father, Ephesians 6:4 resonates with me and directs me as the leader of MCA, “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” His care for our children is that they have training and instruction in Him. That is our goal at MCA. Our ultimate joy is to have it said of the students who attend MCA that they “grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52) as was said of Jesus.
What I would have every parent and child understand when they elect to come to MCA is that our faculty and all of the support team are focused on one thing. We want to help students understand God and His universe so that they might fulfill the mandate received from God to have dominion over the earth. To do that they must be able to use all of their physical, mental, spiritual and emotional abilities to their fullest. As parents, pastors and faculty we must inspire, coach and instruct the students to apply themselves to this learning process in a way that honors God.
If you choose to join the MCA Family for your child’s educational journey, I pray it will be for the reasons I mentioned here. I believe if this is our focus, then when we stand before God we will find favor in His sight.
